On Sunday 3rd December 13 members of St Dominic’s Priory School travelled to Birmingham to compete in the qualifiers.
Two novice teams from the prep school were competing for the first time and together with our senior school comprising of another novice team and one individual elite competitor, they all fought off tough competition across the board.
The results were amazing with St Dominic’s Prep taking both 1st and 2nd place team and Summer finishing in 3rd place. All 8 individuals, Zahra, Arianna, Mary, Freya, Rosie, Enrica, Tia and Summer will now go through to the zonal finals in January.
Our senior team comprising of Sophia, Lily, Katie and Olivia were victorious against five other schools, to take first place and Olivia finished in 4th to progress to the next round.
Lola from Year 10 was against tough competition, competing in the elite 10-14 years category and managed to finish a top five place, meaning Lola also progresses through to the next round.
An outstanding day, with all 13 gymnasts now poised to compete in 2024, with lots of training for them all lying ahead!
