Parents and Friends Association (PFA)
A Message from the Chair of the Parents & Friends Association

I have been the Chair of the school PFA since September 2016.
I have two daughters who have now finished their education with St. Dominic’s and I have one son currently in the senior school (Year10).
I believe that St Dominic’s offers a truly unique environment where pupils are welcomed and nurtured as individuals and allowed to grow and flourish. This wonderful school’s ethos extends to parents and friends and this special community encouraged me to take an active role with the PFA.
The PFA are motivated towards the common aim of supporting the school in many ways, and helping enrich and enhance the pupils’ experience. This is achieved primarily through fundraising, social events and assisting generally with tea and cake!
We organise a wide variety of regular events, including: The Christmas Fayre, Prep Discos, School Ball, Bingo Teas, Coffee Mornings, Ladies Evenings, and we also run the second-hand uniform shop.
Being part of the PFA is a great way to meet other parents, get to know staff and really feel a part of school life. New members and helpers are always welcome whatever you are able to contribute.
We normally hold two meetings per term; if you are interested in joining us, or have any fundraising ideas, please get in touch or come along to our next advertised meeting.
