Welcome to St Dominic’s senior school, where we pride ourselves on knowing the interests, strengths and need of every individual student.
Before joining our school, all students are invited to join us for two taster days where they can truly experience how school life is, here at St Dominic’s. It is important to us that the child, parents and school feel confident that this is the right school and that the transition from their previous school supports this and that the child is happy from the first day they walk through our gates, proudly wearing the St Dominic’s uniform.
All of our students are encouraged to pursue and discover their passions and interest both in and out of school, building on the foundations they have secured during their primary years.
Every student should leave St Dominic’s at the end of Y11, ready for the next stage in their academic journey, wherever that may be. Their journey through the senior school is their opportunity to experience and develop the characteristics and attributes that will stand them in the greatest stead for the rest of their lives.
We are truly blessed to have such an expert and committed teaching and support staff who know and understand every individual students’ needs and are able to use this knowledge to support and challenge all those in our school community, both academically and pastorally. Every member of staff plays a key role in the daily lives of our students and model the high expectations we expect to see in our senior students. Regular monitoring of all our students, ensures that every individual will thrive in our school, where effort, perseverance and achievement are routinely celebrated both within school and the wider community.
