Year 10 visit to Sephardic Synagogue, Manchester

Published: 12th October, 2022

Year 10 students travelled to Manchester in September, to visit the beautiful Sephardic Synagogue – now museum, in Cheetham Hill.

After a morning workshop, in which the students completed a treasure hunt and made a short film, there was time to stop in Leicester road to take in the hustle and bustle of an afternoon in an ultra-orthodox Jewish high street.

The study of Judaism as a living faith is part of the RE GCSE course, and so the trip was an excellent opportunity for students to  experience Judaism first hand.
