At St. Dominic’s Priory School in Stone, we know that high-quality PE fosters the physical, moral, social and intellectual development of students. Through a broad and balanced programme, all of our students (aged 3 – 16 years) make use of the school’s indoor and outdoor facilities and specialist staff.

Our huge sports hall houses two full-size tennis courts, a climbing wall, football pitch, netball and basketball courts, plus two Olympic size trampolines. Our outdoor multi use games area with tennis court and 5-a-side pitch is used daily by students across the school during both PE lessons and breaktimes. As well as our own specialist sports teachers, we are delighted to offer a range of extra-curricular sports and coaches including football, trampolining, tennis, badminton and hockey.

Sport can help to develop confidence and a positive mental attitude that permeates all aspects of a child’s life. Here at St. Dominic’s we aim to develop a love of sport that will last our children a lifetime, and in offering such a wide range of sports, we feel confident that we have something for every ability and interest. Students in KS4 have the opportunity to choose PE as a GCSE option.

We have successful sports teams, all receiving first class coaching from our specialist PE staff and coaches where both participation and competition are valued, with regular fixtures and extra-curricular sports coaching opportunities throughout the year.
