At St. Dominic’s Priory School in Stone we feel that all students, including the youngest of our students, make full use of being part of an all-through school from the age of 3 to 16.
All students from pre-school, through to primary and senior school receive a full and varied curriculum, as well as making use of the specialist teachers in our senior school for PE, performing arts, French and music. As children move through their years here, further specialist subject teachers and specialist rooms are provided for our students from a bespoke primary science lab and lessons in our dance, drama and art studios along with a design and technology workshop.
At St. Dominic’s Priory School, we firmly believe that we can provide the best start to our students’ education with the links and community within a small and nurturing school.
Pre-school and Reception at St Dominic’s offers a welcoming, creative, well-resourced environment with small class sizes, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
EYFS children primarily learn through play but also benefit from the structure of teacher led activities including daily phonics and literacy and numeracy sessions.
The children also gain from a large, fully enclosed outdoor area. The outdoor environment provides a rich, dynamic, natural space for learning and development and is an essential learning resource.
Our happy, caring staff make a positive impact on every child’s individual development, tailoring learning to each child’s needs and abilities, whilst nurturing their emotional wellbeing.
We are proud to lay the foundations to their academic journey.
Our EYFS department welcomes children from the age of 3.
